PRIVATE SESSIONS - LIVE OR VIRTUAL - GLOBAL
Build the session your team actually needs.
The IV LAB Private Sessions are a menu, not a calendar. Choose the topic that matches where your team is right now, choose one day or two, and we'll run it on your dates — in your room or online.
No fixed schedule to wait for. No generic curriculum to sit through. The frameworks come from Columbia Business School and fourteen years of rooms in fifty countries; the subject and the timing come from you.

HOW IT WORKS
Three steps, about two weeks from first email to session.
1
Tell us where your team is.
A short form, then a 20-minute call. We want to know what's actually stuck — the growth that's plateaued, the launch that's stalled, the team using AI without a strategy behind it.
2
We build the agenda.
You pick the topic and the length; we rebuild every framework, case and exercise around your market and your industry. You'll see the full agenda before you approve anything.
3
We run it.
One or two days, live, in your room or online. Your team leaves with work they did on your business — not notes on someone else's.
THE DETAIL
Everything you need before you can ask internally.
FORMAT
GROUP SIZE
WHO IT'S FOR
One full day, or two. Live in your room, or online- run as four half-days for distributed teams.
The standard format is 25. We also offer larger rooms and keynote formats. Let's discuss!
Leadership and innovation teams inside established companies, operating businesses planning their next move, and the functions that have to execute it — plus associations and cohort programs on request.
SCHEDULING
INVESTMENT
Your dates. Typical lead time is 3 to 4 weeks from the first conversation.
One day from $5K; two days from $8K for the standard room. Larger groups are quoted separately. On-site adds travel and accommodation at cost; virtual has none.
PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE
Certificate of completion, session workbook, and the frameworks in reusable form.
DELIVERED BY
Daniel McQuade — Columbia Business School Venture for All. 4,000+ participants across 50+ countries.
THE MENU
Ten topics. Pick the one that matches your moment.
Each is a complete session — the framework, then your team applying it to your own business, in the room. Choose one topic and go deep, rather than sampling several and going home with notes.
Most organizations start with Rotating to the New, Putting AI to Work, or the Business Model Canvas. If you're not sure which fits, tell us what's stuck, and we'll tell you which one we'd run.
GROWING WHAT IS ALREADY WORKING
Pricing What You Make
What to charge, how to know, and how to raise it without losing the relationship with your customer. In this session, you'll learn: • How to price from value and evidence rather than from cost, instinct, or fear. • How to find real comparables in your market, including with AI research tools. • How to raise prices on existing customers, and what to say when you do.
Designing Your Message Platform
How buyers actually find you, and what to say at each point where they're deciding — across marketing, sales, and service. In this session, you'll learn: • How to map the purchase funnel and design marketing, sales, and service to work as one system. • How early discovery inside your target segments shapes your go-to-market strategy. • How AI changes what a small team can do in market research, content, and targeting — and where it doesn't help.
Measuring What Matters
The handful of numbers that should run your venture, and how to prove them to someone else. In this session, you'll learn: • How to choose the few metrics that actually drive decisions, and ignore the rest. • How to measure social impact alongside financial performance without drowning in reporting. • How to automate collection and reporting so measurement takes hours a month, not weeks.
MOVING FASTER THAN THE MARKET
Putting AI to Work
How a one-person operation works like a team of ten, and where that stops being true. In this session, you'll learn: • How to run market, competitor, and customer research in hours rather than weeks. • How to use AI for the drafting work that eats a founder's week: proposals, grant applications, decks, contracts, reports. • Where AI is genuinely unreliable, and which decisions must stay yours.
Disruption Advantage
Why new entrants beat established players, and how to be the one doing it to yourself and your competition. In this session, you'll learn: • What disruption actually is, in the strict sense, and why most things called disruptive aren't. • How to spot the opening a disrupted market creates, and position at the front of the change. • How to read an industry for the conditions that make disruption possible.
Rotating to the New
When AI is moving the ground under your category, this is how you move first, grow the core, transform it, scale the new, and pivot wisely. In this session, you'll learn: • How to build a strategy that lets a company move decisively during disruption rather than freeze. • How to generate and apply new ideas under conditions of real uncertainty. • How to map a straightforward path through change instead of treating it as an enigma.
ARE YOU STARTING SOMETHING NEW?
Business Model Canvas
The one-page AI-integrated tool that turns an idea into a business you can actually test. In this session, you'll learn: • How a company creates value and delivers it to customers — the mechanics beneath the language. • The nine components of a business model, and how a change in one moves the others. • How to build the first working draft of the canvas for your own venture.
Customer Discovery
How to find out whether anyone wants this before you build it. In this session, you'll learn: • How to write and run customer interviews that produce truth rather than politeness. • How to identify the assumption that would kill the venture, and test that one first. • How to turn what you heard into a change in the model — and when to stop and pivot.
Funding Your Future
The map of where money comes from, and which kind is right for what you're building. In this session, you'll learn: • How grants, angels, VCs, impact investors, crowdfunding, and revenue each behave — cost, speed, and what they take. • How to build financials with benchmarked assumptions that a funder can interrogate. • How to sequence a funding path so early money doesn't foreclose later options.
Building and Delivering Your Pitch
How to get from "Hello" to "Tell me more" with investors who have heard it all. In this session, you'll learn: • What different types of investors — angels, VCs, strategics, grant-makers — each look for, and how the pitch changes. • How to build the narrative arc that carries a room from problem to opportunity to ask. • How to handle the questions that decide it, and what to do when the answer is no but the network is open.

One day
from $5K
The framework, applied to your business in the room. Your team leaves understanding it, having tried it once on something real, and knowing what to do on Monday.
Two days
from $8K
Everything above, then a full build day. Teams take what they learned and produce the actual thing — a working model, a pricing approach, a pitch — and present it before they leave.
The second day isn't more teaching. It's the time to make something and be challenged on it, which is the part that almost never survives a single day. If your team needs to understand something, book one day. If they need to produce something, book two.
Request a session
Tell us roughly what you have in mind. We'll come back within one business day with a proposed agenda and a number — no obligation, and no sequence of follow-up emails.
Daniel reads every one of these himself. One business day, every time.
We use this only to respond to your request. We don't sell or share your details. Email Learn@InnoVentureLAB.com any time to have them removed.
Tell us what's stuck.
We'll tell you what we'd run.
No obligation, and an honest answer — including when the timing isn't right or another program of ours fits you better.
